Guests are fully responsible for their personal property, including pets, brought onto The Sanctuary’s premises. The Sanctuary cannot be held liable for any stolen or lost property during your stay.

Smoking Policy:

To ensure a pleasant environment for all guests, smoking of any kind, including vaping, is strictly prohibited inside The Sanctuary, on the front porch, in the gardens, or within 25 feet of any door. Violation of this no smoking policy will result in a smoking fine of $200, in addition to any smoke/odor remediation costs.

Pet Policy:

We welcome well-behaved dogs in our designated garden level rooms: the Iris (room 10), the Aster (11), the Trefoil (12), and the Hosta (13). No additional pet fees apply. However, please note that dogs are not allowed on the main floor or the mezzanine. When accompanied by a dog, guests must use the side doors for entry and exit.

Two dogs are permitted per room, provided they are non-aggressive and properly house-trained. Dogs must remain on a leash while on The Sanctuary’s property and are not allowed on beds or furniture.

Guests are liable for any property damages or personal injuries caused by their pets. A refundable pet deposit of $150 will be charged upon check-in, which will be fully refunded upon check-out after confirming no pet-related damage. Guests must notify The Sanctuary’s staff within one hour of check-in about any pre-existing damage in the room. Failure to do so may result in the guest being held responsible for all damages discovered at check-out. If a guest’s dog causes damage or requires additional cleaning, the pet deposit may be partially or fully retained, depending on the extent of the damage. Any associated costs will be charged to the guest’s credit card.

The designated pet relief area is located across 2nd St. in the lot in front of The Sanctuary. Dogs must not relieve themselves in the gardens, alongside the building by Hwy 6, or anywhere else on The Sanctuary’s grounds. Guests are responsible for picking up and disposing of all pet waste in the provided trash bins.

Dogs must remain quiet and not disturb other guests. If a dog becomes disruptive or causes damage, the guest will be asked to leave, and their stay will not be refunded. Guests who fail to disclose their dog’s presence and do not pay the pet deposit prior to check-in will be subject to a non-refundable penalty fee of $200.

Quiet Hours:

To ensure a peaceful environment for all guests and our residential neighbors, we enforce quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. During this time, please keep noise levels to a minimum, both inside The Sanctuary and on its grounds.

Failure to comply with quiet hours may result in the guest being asked to leave without a refund.

Parking:

Ample parking is available in the lot in front of The Sanctuary across 2nd St., alongside Hwy 6, or in the lot behind The Sanctuary. Please note that The Sanctuary is not responsible for guests’ vehicles or any contents within them during their stay. Guests must adhere to all parking laws and restrictions, including winter parking restrictions.
